Not that Bergis road isn't creepy enough, it scares the crap out of me at night. I was driving home with Ali the other night and it was foggy as ever (not as bad as thursday night when I literally could not see anything) and we got into a conversation about how creepy that road is especially at night. I always feel like there is somebody like in the field and the tall grass always fools me. Out of the corner of my eye I always feel like I see a big white person or animal or something. Ali was telling me about how a couple of years ago Kenzie's brother (they live in the same neighborhood) was telling her about a huge white winged "monster" that he saw on the road. Then she said that she was in the car with Matt in early fall at night and she saw a huge white winged bird fly across the road. Is it an illusion? A monster? Stork?
Now im terrified of that road. Good thing I drive it almost every day.

some pieces im really proud of...
I love this, even if the scholastic judges didn't so much. First I drew the top left shoe. I had laid down scrap paper on the rest of the paper so that it wouldn't smudge and the blue tape i used ended up ripping the top layer off of the paper so i had to cut out the shoe and paste it on another paper. Mrs. Mcbride was explaining to me that it needs to look intentional and so i cut out the tip of the shoe on the bottom right, as if the two hyper realistic shoes were peeling off of the page. Not my favorite idea for the shoes, but i didnt have a choice. Still, I love it.
This one is a layered still life. I drew the pant first, then the 3 lamps and then the barbie legs. This is before i colored in some of the barbie legs but I honestly think it looks better this way. Its a little bit heavy towards the top but i like how the contrast is not evenly distributed.

This one is a mixed media booklet... I spent a lot of time on it and eventually ended up pasting it into a cigar box and gold leafing the inside of the box. if i come across a picture of it ill post it because its sick.
This is actually a little bit ridiculous...
Shel Silverstein is a cool guy
The teapot is a drawing that is by Shel but I did my own version that is hanging with a light bulb.
What did?
What did the carrot say to the wheat?
" 'Lettuce' rest, I'm feeling 'beet.' "
What did the paper say to the pen?
" I feel quite all 'write', my friend. "
What did the teapot say to the chalk?
Nothing, you silly... teapots can't talk!
another poem by him that I can relate to...
MESSY ROOM
Whosever room this is should be ashamed!
His underwear is hanging on the lamp.
His raincoat is there in the overstuffed chair,
And the chair is becoming quite mucky and damp.
His workbook is wedged in the window,
His sweater's been thrown on the floor.
His scarf and one ski are beneath the TV,
And his pants have been carelessly hung on the door.
His book are all jammed int he closet,
His vest has been left in the hall.
A lizard named Ed is asleep in his bed,
And his smelly old sock has been stuck on the wall.
Whosever room this should be ashamed!
Donald or Robert or Willie or-
Huh? You say it's mine? Oh dear,
I knew it looked familiar!
La Primavera
So its the first one!
The cat that was embedding itself into the box spring in my mattress had to go today. It was making me sick because i guess im allergic to it. I dont really think its normal for an animal to stay under a bed for 6 days and gnaw and claw at a mattress at all hours of night. I feel kinda bad because i liked the cat when it first came and it was really friendly but it was pretty scaired and decided to scratch up my whole right hand. When my moms friend came to pick it up today we had to take apart my bed and pull it out of the box and it just sat there like it was no big deal. My dad was not so excited about the cat either... he has only known about it for like two days.
Besides that and a dress rehearsal for the senior fashion show I just sat around all day. Its really nice to just be able to relax and not think about any homework or chores even though if i had them i wouldnt do it anyway- but its nice not to have to worry about it.
